I have enjoyed a successful career in the travel industry for over 14 years and have specialist experience in managing successful, small independent travel agencies as well as high performance retail hypermarkets, covering all aspects of the business from sales and customer care to recruitment and staff management. I took the step to move into recruitment and business development with Travel Counsellors 7 years ago and the fast paced and results driven environment suit me perfectly. For the last 3 years I have been managing the Business Travel recruitment and love meeting so many different personalities and yet like-minded people.

Cathy

My career in travel spans 27 years and I have held various managerial roles with independents and larger chains. I joined the Travel Counsellors family 14 years ago, starting with David Speakman Travel before moving to head office working with the telesales, IATA and business development teams. I moved into the recruitment team as the recruitment manager 6 years ago. I love using my knowledge and experience to support people throughout their journey to becoming a Travel Counsellor.

Sarah

My career in recruitment began almost 20 years ago, having worked previously in retail as a Commercial Manager for Marks and Spencer. I have recruited for many industries and have worked as an in house recruiter as well as working for agencies. I haven’t worked in Travel but have lots of family in Canada and love to visit them as often as I can. I am really enjoying my role here at Travel Counsellors and I love supporting applicants who are keen to know more and ultimately make the life changing decision to become a Travel Counsellor, I really believe that we are changing peoples’ lives for the better when they become a Travel Counsellor and helping them to achieve that is a wonderful job to have.

I have been involved in Recruitment in various roles spanning the past 20 years, I have always got a real buzz from dealing with people from all walks of life and ultimately helping them make a work based decision to get into the right role. I am now very excited at the prospect of helping people with and without travel experience, make a life changing decision to join us here at Travel Counsellors and become part of our growing successful team of Travel Counsellors.
